"8) Absence of "internal" spell check in posting process"

If you used Firefox, you'd have spellcheck!

Oh, I could easily use it, but unless I am missing something, that's still not "internal" to this site, right?

Maybe I'm not sure what you mean by inside.

Right now as I'm typing, a mispellled word in the New Post box is underlined red in Firefox and Google Chrome, but not MS Explorer.

Hmmm--I guess you have more "tools" on yours? I use FFox at work, and never noticed that...do have old expl at home though.

Thx for the explanation...

You can add spell check to Internet Explorer here:

Thanks for that tip Deadred. One of its suggestions for your handle is deadhead.

i took internal spelling checks to mean internal to the poster - surely its no big deal to check what we've written before posting..?

Oh, absolutely...it was just a joke above on the grev/feats line of thought.

What I meant was that with a Luddite like me, as I type in the little "body box" at LMA, redlines or what have don't magically "appear" signaling a mistake the way they would "internally" to Powerpt or Word...

But, as SFace notes, if I had "good" operating systems/etc, or as noted above I could add to my old Exp version, it WOULD be an "add on"...

Just a small joke that got way out of hand.

"Better the redhead than the deadhead"

- something Lucy used as a campaign slogan against Ethel
